We actually don't have room for all of the great reviews!

Dear NorthernBlues fan:

Wow! What a year 2007 has been! We released some incredible CDs from
Watermelon Slim, Mem Shannon, Mason Casey, Doug Cox & Salil Bhatt, and Paul Reddick.

2008 is going to be one incredible year for NorthernBlues Music. First, we've just recorded a new
Watermelon Slim CD to be called, "No Paid Holidays". We expect to release this new CD in May or June. Later in 2008, we'll be releasing a Watermelon Slim DVD - with Slim live at the Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale, Mississippi. And, we're now adding a hour-long interview with Slim as an added bonus!

In early January, I will be heading to Tupelo, Mississippi to record what I think is one of the most exciting acts I have seen in a long time.
The Homemade Jamz' Blues Band will be recording their first CD. Last year, they placed second in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. But, get this - this band consists of three siblings - aged 15,13, and 9. Yes, Tara is a 9-year-old drummer!

In March, we'll be releasing two new voices in the blues.
Moreland & Arbuckle are a high-energy trio that can move effortlessly from raw-edged country blues to bone-crunching, hi-shaking electric blues. This is raw hill country blues straight from the State of Kansas.

And, then we'll be releasing the debut CD of
Samuel James - one of the most relevant young voices of the blues. He's still in his 20s and he plays some amazing acoustic blues - this time from the State of Maine. Oh, and wait till you hear his lyrics.

And, that's not all for 2008. We will have new Cds from JW-Jones, Eddie Turner, and Paul Reddick. And, we'll end the year with a new NorthernBlues sampler, yes, Volume 3 of our "Future of the Blues" series.

Am I still having fun? You bet!!! Remember, if you can't find NorthernBlues releases in your local record store, please ask for them! And tell us where you think our CDs should be found! It's always a battle to get CDs into the stores, and we can always use your help!

Fred
